Those are familial bonds tho. Not rules. Like no killing. Animals doesn't have rules like that. Humans can be beasts if they decided not to follow rules and morals. They can be worse beasts than the beasts themselves. No specie on this Earth is responsible for as many mass extinctions as humans.
Point. But there are barely any beasts that can claim to be serial killers. Indeed it is usually but the ones with the most human intelligence that are found to be capable of acts no greater than a demon.
What keeps a bird from slaughtering its neighbors on a whim? Or a dog from tearing the throat of a babes out while it sleeps?
Are we not just clever apes, waddling about on our hind legs in the end?
When a new male lion takes over a pride it kills all the cubs of the old male. Many female animals also pushes away their kids, forcing them to starve to death.
Birds are not violent to their nature. However the cuckoo does lay its egg in other birds nest and when they hatches they kick the other eggs out of it. Animals can be ferocious too.
But even within the realm of animals, it has a purpose. To continue their bloodline. To stamp out competition. It is a cruel practice but to beasts it carries nothing but cold logic.
And we find man, a beast that will film the murders he commits, crowing with pride for every drop of blood he sheds, for little more than pleasure. A spike of boredom.
Which is more beastly? Are they equal in their differences? Or perhaps one is more reprehensible?
I never said humans isn't beastly. Animals just do what is in their nature. While humans unbound by rules, laws and morals can do what the fuck they want. Humans are the real beasts. All you can do to survive in that world is to adapt and grow strong.
Well, I mean ... time as a construct doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would apply to nature in general.
But a pack of nerfs probably isn't worried about promptly having supper at five. Or having a new shelter built by next week because the old one blew down. They just do what they do. Whenever they happen to do it.

Terrible punishments for disobeying rules... If nonverbal, placed down from them, as you'd find in any supermarket managing tree.

There are punishments of course, for deciding to forge your own, considerably bloodier path.
I find them to be quite equal myself. One is just more talkative.
